Bracelet is a solid continuous piece with no hinges - slides on baby's wrist.

Bracelet measures approximately 1.61 inches (i.e., 41.0 mm) in diameter. The diameter is the straight line segment that passes through the center of the bracelet. This is not the measurement of the circumference which is the distance around the circle. This bracelet is for newer babies from about 3 - 6 months old who can fit their tiny hands through the center of the bracelet as the bracelet is not adjustable.
